About Us

International Relations Undergraduate Association (IRUA)

is a student-run organization within the USC School of International Relations (SIR) that seeks to foster a sense of community and assist students with finding resources and opportunities. We organize events featuring professionals both from the university and the greater Los Angeles community to help students interested in IR to learn more about the field and the many possible career paths. Visit our events page for more information regarding our past and upcoming events.

Additionally, students have the opportunity to connect with their peers, develop their interests, and engage in lively debate outside the classroom through our general meetings and social mixers. The debates and discussions during our general meetings are aimed at being constructive and informed, with the end goal of everyone becoming more educated about the subject and interested in the world around us. This Spring 2015 semester, join us at our weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 7 pm in WPH 201.

Our History

IRUA was originally established as a student advocacy group to save the Von Kleinsmid Library for International and Public Affairs from being turned into a music library. Since then, IRUA has broadened its mission and established itself as a pillar of the IR community.
